The Topgard is a Fluke anchor type with its sides shaped as a plough type anchor.
With this model, the designer wanted to combine a fluke type anchor (inclined to lie on its side) and a plough type anchor to secure the holding when the anchor inclines.
Advantages : This new shape compensates for the weaknesses inherent in the fluke type anchors.

"BRAKE"
The Brake is classified as one of the modern fixed type plough anchors. The characteristics of this anchor is to have big shares strongly formed in 3 planes with inverted edges and a shank long enough to be able to fit the majority of rollers.
The 16 kg model we tested proved to be more than enough for our boat even though. According to the legislation, it requires a higher standard model.
On the first type of seabed (sand and mud) we obtained a constant holding to 800 kg. It started to drag very smoothly from 3000 kg.
On the hard sand, the holding without skidding was 1000 kg with peaks at 1500 kg. Beyond that point, it drags without pulling.
Advantages : Exceptional holding in both types of seabed. The values obtained are equivalent to a medium wind of 42 knots on boats from 10,50 m to 12,50 m. In peak conditions, the 300 kg is equivalent to the higher wind of 60 knots.
The particar shape of the shank makes the pulling out easier when lifting the anchor to the surface vertically.
